Now its final (not yet official). We saw and felt the excitement about Google Phone or “Nexus One”. We posted the unofficial details here.
Now, Engadget has posted a ton of exclusive pictures of this gadget. We will hope to see more details of this machine soon. As rumors say that this phone might be released anytime soon (by January ?), we can expect official info from Google, soon.
Its been a sudden outbreak of Google everywhere on the web. Android might be a great OS for mobile devices, but now,Google’s hardware + Android (Google) software is making its introduction in the market. Though the introduction is an unofficial one, as of now.
The phone above might be the Google phone or the “Nexus one”. The phone looks similar to the HTC Bravo/Passion. So the hardware vendor for this (to work along with Google) might be HTC. If you remember, the G1/Dream, was the first android device manufactured by HTC.
Rumors say that this phone will be released and sold directly by Google. As of now the only people who have access or own the phone are some of the Google employees. A lot of tweets about this device flooded in the past 2 days.
A recent post at the google mobile blog :
“At Google, we are constantly experimenting with new products and technologies, and often ask employees to test these products for quick feedback and suggestions for improvements in a process we call dogfooding (from “eating your own dogfood”). Well this holiday season, we are taking dogfooding to a new level.
We recently came up with the concept of a mobile lab, which is a device that combines innovative hardware from a partner with software that runs on Android to experiment with new mobile features and capabilities, and we shared this device with Google employees across the globe. This means they get to test out a new technology and help improve it.
Unfortunately, because dogfooding is a process exclusively for Google employees, we cannot share specific product details. We hope to share more after our dogfood diet.” - Mario Queiroz, Vice President, Product Management
Lets hope to see an official info from Google on this device. We will update you as and when we hear/see things.
Last week we saw the leaked HTC plans for 2010. In case if you missed it head on to engadget to see those. Now ar.is has released a new photo of HTC Bravo, which is supposed to be called as the HTC Passion in the US. HTC has plans to release this one 3 months from now, in the US.
Among the 2010 line up, Bravo was most related to performance factor. The design is really cool and simple. (looks like a variant of HTC HD2 except for the screen size). This beast runs a 1ghz snapdragon processor with an Android Operating system. That is indeed a great combination of hardware with software.
Also there are a few specs that is also leaked now.
We are not sure how true are the above specs, hoping it would be. Only an official info can say that. But in the mean time its really thrilling to see the line up.
HTC, are you planning to surprise everyone for this new year ? Welcome to the game.
There is a lot of buzz in the market that HTC is readying a low priced Android phone named HTC Click. Almost every phone pops out this way. We are feeling good that HTC is making their customers happy.
This phone might be for the countries which Android hasn’t yet visited. Who knows, this might also be a photoshop work, but the picture doesn’t seem that way. The buttons tell us that the phone is an Android Device , as they are similar to the other Android phones by HTC.
In the mean time, lets recall these 3 good phones from HTC & Android -
Remember the Nokia – Symbian partnership of 1998 ? Nokia created a world of Symbian phones and it was ruling the market. Those were the times when there were only few mobile OS available in the market. Now this is 2009, where there is quite a lot of improvement in the Mobile World. Many new OS have become popular and more capable than the Symbian OS.
One such is the Google Android ( Open handset alliance ). Currently there are some phone manufacturing companies that have a tie-up with Android.
Today, Guardian is reporting that Nokia will unveil an Android handset coming September. It comes no surprise to us. Symbian market share is slowly fading as the other OS is more capable. Its a do or die situation for Nokia to start building some good handsets with good ans stable OS.
Think, if there is a HTC , Samsung and a Nokia running Android, which one would you choose ? Nokia ?
Nokia, face the fact and join the team
Update : Nokia denies any plans for releasing a Nokia Android device. “Absolutely no truth to this whatsoever,” said a Nokia spokesman.”Everyone knows that Symbian is our preferred platform for advanced mobile devices.”
