Now its final (not yet official). We saw and felt the excitement about Google Phone or “Nexus One”. We posted the unofficial details here.
Now, Engadget has posted a ton of exclusive pictures of this gadget. We will hope to see more details of this machine soon. As rumors say that this phone might be released anytime soon (by January ?), we can expect official info from Google, soon.
Its been a sudden outbreak of Google everywhere on the web. Android might be a great OS for mobile devices, but now,Google’s hardware + Android (Google) software is making its introduction in the market. Though the introduction is an unofficial one, as of now.
The phone above might be the Google phone or the “Nexus one”. The phone looks similar to the HTC Bravo/Passion. So the hardware vendor for this (to work along with Google) might be HTC. If you remember, the G1/Dream, was the first android device manufactured by HTC.
Rumors say that this phone will be released and sold directly by Google. As of now the only people who have access or own the phone are some of the Google employees. A lot of tweets about this device flooded in the past 2 days.
A recent post at the google mobile blog :
“At Google, we are constantly experimenting with new products and technologies, and often ask employees to test these products for quick feedback and suggestions for improvements in a process we call dogfooding (from “eating your own dogfood”). Well this holiday season, we are taking dogfooding to a new level.
We recently came up with the concept of a mobile lab, which is a device that combines innovative hardware from a partner with software that runs on Android to experiment with new mobile features and capabilities, and we shared this device with Google employees across the globe. This means they get to test out a new technology and help improve it.
Unfortunately, because dogfooding is a process exclusively for Google employees, we cannot share specific product details. We hope to share more after our dogfood diet.” - Mario Queiroz, Vice President, Product Management
Lets hope to see an official info from Google on this device. We will update you as and when we hear/see things.
Finally, the wait is over. Google has released the beta version of Chrome browser for Mac and Linux. For Mac its only for the intel based ones.
The browser is really quick as the Safari Browser. I am typing this post from the Chrome Browser. And guess what it supports themes exactly the way it does in Windows.
Head on to the link to grab your chrome, if you own a Mac or Linux based system.
There is a lot of buzz in the market that HTC is readying a low priced Android phone named HTC Click. Almost every phone pops out this way. We are feeling good that HTC is making their customers happy.
This phone might be for the countries which Android hasn’t yet visited. Who knows, this might also be a photoshop work, but the picture doesn’t seem that way. The buttons tell us that the phone is an Android Device , as they are similar to the other Android phones by HTC.
In the mean time, lets recall these 3 good phones from HTC & Android -
In order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing (July 20th 1969), Google has added Moon in Google Earth, that allows users to browse lunar content and images on Google Earth. This is really a fantastic idea from Google.
This tool will make it easier for millions of people to learn about space, our moon and some of the most significant and dazzling discoveries humanity has accomplished together. Moon in Google Earth enables you to explore lunar imagery as well as informational content about the Apollo landing sites, panoramic images shot by the Apollo astronauts, narrated tours and much more. I believe that this educational tool is a critical step into the future, a way to both develop the dreams of young people globally, and inspire new audacious goals.
This is clearly a move to make people really learn and experience moon. With Google Earth, young explorers around the world can bounce around the galaxy in Sky, fly to Mars and now visit the moon from wherever they may be.
